Misleading Windows error messages

I know that these are relics of the 3.x era and of course can’t be changed because ~compatibility~ but come on.

// MessageId: ERROR_NOT_ENOUGH_MEMORY
// MessageText:
// Not enough storage is available to process this command.

// MessageId: ERROR_OUTOFMEMORY
// MessageText:
// Not enough storage is available to complete this operation.

// MessageId: ERROR_GEN_FAILURE
// MessageText:
// A device attached to the system is not functioning.

// MessageId: ERROR_BUFFER_OVERFLOW
// MessageText:
// The file name is too long.
